We never liked tests. Since we’re on the subject, we’re not big fans of quizzes, game shows or Trivial Pursuit.
But some tests we can live with.
Sometimes you can tell right away if something’s good or bad. Maybe it’s a song, maybe it’s BBQ, maybe it’s that perfect spiral. We think we know what’s good and bad, right or wrong, but wouldn’t our chances improve with a test?
Soil testing is about the only kind of testing we can get behind because of one simple reason. It works.
Over and over again, we meet customers who think they have a handle on their trees, yet their trees aren’t healthy. How can both things be true?
They can’t.
You can look at soil all day long and never really understand what’s going on. You can squat down and run some through your hands like in the movies. You can do a lot of things, but still, you wouldn’t understand.
And neither would we.
There’s an epidemic of know-it-alls in the tree business, and we know that’s true because we clean up their messes all the time. Thinking you know something and knowing something are two different things.
Many companies see it as a badge of shame if they test their soil. They think they should be able to call upon their vast wisdom and just know what’s right. And we think that’s a real problem.
If there were a game show where tree experts guessed what was or wasn’t in soil without testing, that show would hand out very few prizes. Why? Because they would be guessing.
We don’t think it’s a good idea to guess. As a matter a fact, we think it’s the opposite of good. If we guess wrong, it could take years to realize and even longer to fix. If your tree company isn’t testing your soil, you’re not getting what you paid for. You’re getting something else. Why not come see the difference a little science can make on your property?
Come see why Abilene trusts Leaf It 2 Me Tree Service. With 17 years of experience, there’s no question we can take care of your trees. The real question is why you took so long to call us.
